Though I think most people actually do have a grand vision in the back of their minds, just not explicitly articulated: to be as rich and prosperous as the West - our simplified version of the West, that is. (And, for some, to keep our "traditional culture" too). It's kind of an impossible dream, and instead of having a healthier relationship to our dreams, we're just blaming ourselves as a country and each other for not being there.

Thank you for writing from messy places. We need you to keep doing that.

I liked how you wrote from a place of Sadness and regretting it afterwards, saying it as a negative - not happy.

I remember in UK how much a story ran about Megan, an American, independent, professional feminist, the newly wife of a royal prince. Her story of financial independence was butchered, they both been hunted by paparazzi and they've had renounced everything. Point being. The good person with a healthy lifestyle, is so healthy that it's not welcomed. Though, The same thing, a royal prince meets in a pub a girl, she is Australian, they get married, no bad stories, all inclusive, modesty is celebrated and admired. What was different? How is Denmark more relaxed and progressive than royalty and press in UK? Frankly, we don't care. But it happened. My point:. We don't a good amazing story delivered by our new president. He is literally living it, by the old fashioned Good Example. Unfortunately, the beauty lies in the eyes of the audience, and I don't know how to change their eyes. From sadness I write too. But what I really want to say, is the West have their own stuff, we just see civilisation, but people are the same everywhere. What's important is the leadership. And please, at least us, we need to see that Sadness is not because of him, is not there to makes us happy, but functioning as a society. We don't need more stories. He already is facing a potential sabotage on the ideea that war involvement could've been avoided if the other candidate 've won. It was sold as an "in" or "out". When in fact it was always meant to be in. We just had to choose on the side. From Sadness I say as well, this president needs all the beauty in us we can master. We don't need a feeding story. We just need the work on a personal level. The remaining jurnalists that are there loving their job for the truth they need to be a good neighbour, project human, humble, stand up show up and write for that relative, friend, neighbours that couldn't agree on the vote. Write personal, write from places of Sadness. The story we are learning now is to forgive, to see and be seen. Be in the park, be in the streets. And by this, I am inspired by two journalists who have been welcomed by so many types of people, disfunctional, extremists, religious, successful, whatever there are there, mothers on the edge in psychiatric wards, prisoners, gone in war zones, etc. One is Louis Theroux is a British and American documentarian, journalist, broadcaster, and author. The other one is Stacey Dooley, British TV presenter, journalist, who has bee recognised with an MBE for her emphatic and also relatable approach in conflicted issues..hope their appreciation as journalists is an inspiration for you and helps the un happiness to morth into a gentle dignified way of becoming friendly with someone you don't understand. 🖐️❤️
