This newsletter meant so much to me.

Right before reading it, I had a conversation with a friend about politics and social stratification that made me quite uncomfortable. As I was explaining "my" views, I was gradually realising the biased beliefs that gave substance to the debate, while also feeling unable to solve any "bigger" problem. I wish to have better conversations in the future, and I think Mónica's book will be a good starting point to achieve that.

I'd love to test my listening abilities in any sort of gathering. Virtually anytime, or in Bucharest July-September.

Book club meeting ar fi grozav pt mine; nu am anxietatea de a cunoaste oameni noi; probabil niste exercitii/jocuri scurte de spart gheata ar fi utile. Succes in tot ce iti propui!

La inceputul anului asta chiar ii mentionam Cristinei Chipurici si lui Radu Marcusu ca as vrea sa iti scriu sa te invitam la noi la masa, si sa vina si ei; fara agenda asa; pur si simplu ca eat, hang out for some ohours and see where the discussion takes us. Facem ? Esti oare prin tara in Iulie?

Funnily, this landed in my inbox the same day as the poem "The Opposition" in Robin Myers' Poem Per Diem newsletter. https://poemperdiem.substack.com/p/sunday-may-28

And the same week as the poem "How One Thing Leads to Another". https://poemperdiem.substack.com/p/thursday-may-25

Would virtual meeting be possible? As much as I would like to meet face to face, not sure it will be feasible:( but would so much love to listen, to bounce ideas, to open my mind and be surprised :)

Cristian,

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, musings, and insights. You've sparked some difficult reflections -and new perspectives for me. If you journey takes you to Massachusetts, I'd welcome a conversation!
